Today we give extra-special thoughts toward celebrating quilting in all of its forms.

Let’s talk about it. Leave a comment telling everyone why you love quilting.

At 7:00 p.m. California time I’ll draw randomly from among all the comments posted, and I’ll send the winner a yard of this gorgeous Michael Miller fabric “Lotus Blossoms” designed by M.E. Hordyszynski.

I absolutely love, love, love quilting because it is creative, relaxing and a way to become friends with the greatest group of people in the world.

I love quilting because I can put so many emotions in it and I love to work with colours, to see the effects of different combinations of fabric and it is very relaxing in stressful periods in my life.

I love the fabric, the way color dances, the feel, o’the feel of really good cotton…the world would be alot better off if quilters did all the law making.

I immerse myself in quilting as a break from the “real” world. I love to piece tops and see if what I thought would go together actually does. Sometimes it doesn’t!

I love quilting because it allows me to use my creativity and that makes me happy. Plus, I can make beautiful gifts and things for my home.

There are so many reasons why I love quilting. I love cutting fabric! There are lots of little pieces to cut for a quilt. I love working at my machine and getting into the rhythm with my sewing machine. I love choosing fabrics for a new project. I love quilting books. I love fiction books with quilts in them.I love sleeping under quilts. It’s all rather boring to everyone, but quilters.

Happy Quilting Day to you too!
