Welcome new visitors to All About Appliqué! You may be here as a stop on the QPM blog hop… if so, stay awhile and poke around! This is a great resource for any quilter interested in appliqué of any kind.
Regular readers… Have you heard about the new online pattern magazine created by a quilter for quilters? Introducing The Quilt Pattern Magazine, debuting in January!
Cindy McCoy, the quilting brain behind QuiltCampus.net, is the publisher of this exciting new venture. I’ve been watching this new publication develop since it was first announced, and when the sample pages went up on the website, I was thrilled to discover that the editor is a great chum of mine, Maria Hrabovsky of Maria Michaels Designs!
I immediately submitted a short piece for the first issue of the magazine. It’s a review of Baltimore’s Country Cousins from AQS Publishing.
The cool thing about The Quilt Pattern Magazine is that since it’s online, there are no printing or shipping costs like those associated with other magazines. Subscribers will receive monthly issues with no less than five new patterns included in each. A subscription gives instant access to magazine issues from the day of their release to two months afterward.
Save trees! Print only the pages you need.
Would you like to win a free one-year subscription to The Quilt Pattern Magazine? Here’s what you need to do: Go to the magazine website right now and take a look around. Then come back here and leave a comment about it on this post.
Here’s a link to the magazine that’ll open up in a separate window. Go! Then come back!
Hey, great to see you again! Now comment here to enter the drawing. My winner will be announced during the first week of January.
Cheerio!

Brilliant. Now I can feed my addiction without having to buy a new bookcase.
I popped over to see what the magazine sample pages look like. The applique block of the month looks interesting. And a pieced block of the month for those who don’t do applique.
Thank you for letting us know about this innovative quilting magazine! Can’t wait to share it in our next guild newsletter.
I think the magazine is a great idea.
What a great idea — the block of the month looks interesting
I checked out the site too. What impressed me is the price. Printing and mailing a hard copy magazine is expensive. Subscription price is really nice!
O I love e-zines. I read several of them this way. Thank you for the chance to enter a drawing for a subscription. My favorite? I love BOMs and the tantalizing glimpse of the one in the zine is no exception.
I liked what the sample of Quilt Pattern Magazine, and is a wonderful idea. I am sure in the future that is how we will receive all our magazines. Which definetly cuts down on clutter.
I haven’t heard about that magazine. Thanks for sharing the information. It looks very interesting so I may need to subscribe if I’m not lucky enough to win your drawing.
Love this idea. I have too many magazines and it is a struggle to find the pattern I want from the pile. Printing patterns online….brilliant.

Love to win .have a great day
How great! I love digital downloads!
It would be really good to win this because I am not yet convinced about digital magazines. They seem to be popping up all over the place. It’s nice that they take up so little space and you don’t feel like a hoarder keeping them all. But I have to sit at my desk to read them. That is the downfall. Maybe it’s fine. I’m just not sure yet…
So thankful to know about this new online site! I love that I can subscribe and only print what I need! Count me in….
Can’t wait for this new magazine, or should I say, e-zine?
Wow, on-line and lots of various quilting related articles. I will love it!!!!

Love the magazine’s format. Obviously a lot of care and thought has gone into it’s design. If that care is also taken on the content…I expect this will be one successful endeavor!! So far, I’m impressed!

Wonderful way to save money, paper, and time spent looking for that one pattern you knew you saw somewhere. Look forward to Jan. issue and new BOM.
Sounds like a great idea, especially being able to save and print only the bits we want. Like the look of the patterns.
I’m glad to have the chance to print out “only” patterns which I am interested in making. I’m into saving paper when possible.
I love the idea of an online quilting magazine. I already use an ereader and like the chance to cut down on the paper in my house. More room for quilting!
