Tuesday was the Official Publication Day for Scrap-Appliqué Playground. Happy dancing, happy dancing! It doesn’t get much more exciting for an author than that!

The publisher, Martingale, recently launched a wonderful new blog called Stitch This! (You’ll want to subscribe.)

I’m so excited that today there’s a post by Karen Johnson of the marketing team, in which she recounts her eagerness to visit the Playground, and the fun she had on her first trip! I couldn’t love it more. It’s so cool, you have to go and see. Not only that, they’re giving away a copy of the eBook hot off the digital presses!
Stitch This!

My copies are en route, in fact Brown should be paying me a visit later today. Just as soon as I have them in hand I’ll be updating my website, hopefully as early as tonight.

They’re here! The new book is now available on my website, kaymackenzie.com!

Martingale sent me this button. Notice the new birdy logo. Very cute.

Back soon,
Kay

I found your blog thru Stitch This and I love it! I really love the book and will definitely buy it if I don’t win!!!

Kay — congratulations on your new book. I saw it mentioned on Stitch This. Wow! Talk about something that looks fresh and new and uses stuff I already have! The book is on my to buy list but hopefully I’ll win a copy first! LOL. I hope to spend some time in the future poking around your web site. I missed a big opportunity to enjoy the Baltimore Applique Society when I lived in that area…. I just wasn’t ever going to do a BA quilt … but who knows, maybe some day I will! Enjoy your new author status!

Kay, Congratulations on the new book. Can’t wait to get it. Wow! It’s wonderful ‘Stich This’ wrote about it. I noticed several new people making comments that came from there. I’m on my way over there now. I’m enjoying “Easy App Blocks” and love the X-Mas Applique book that came with it.

Oh how exciting – it’s finally here. Congratulations, Kay. And I really liked Karen’s post – made one want to go out and buy the book right away. I’m sure this is going to be a very popular book.

Just had a look at Karen’s post – there are 184 comments so far! Congrats on the book.

I am also delighted to have found a link to Karen Johnson again. I came across her at Connecting Threads at the same time that I found your blog when I was “researching” different applique methods.
